The 9,000 square-foot Gable Mansion, originally constructed in 1885, is listed as a California Historical Landmark as an excellent example of “the 19th century Victorian Italianate architecture” (Wikipedia). The house has remained in continuous use as a single-family residence.
Our firm provided full architectural services for the rehabilitation of both the interior and exterior of the main residence, as well as the historic carriage house, now used as a detached garage. The scope of work included the addition of a full basement, replacing the existing crawl space.
